The Parkinson's North East and Cumbria Research Interest Group has published a blog post about CuePD, "From PhD research to a new community trial". It introduces the study and how it uses personalised music cueing to help improve walking for people living with Parkinson's.
CuePD-Extend is now underway at Northumbria University, working with colleagues from Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The study takes the CuePD app out of the clinic and into everyday life, testing personalised music cueing to help retrain gait for people with Parkinson's at home and in the community. Our laboratory validation of the approach has just been published open access in the Journal of Medical Systems.
